Most Seen: The main reason why Arsenal Boss Emery promotes Seven youngsters to first team squad during internal break
boss Unai Emery has
promoted seven youngsters from the club’s academy to train with the first team
during the international break.
The Spaniard’s squad
has been depleted by the large number of players away on international duty
with their countries and he’s keen to give some of the club’s younger players
an opportunity to shine.
Emery was handed a
nightmare start at Arsenal with back-to-back fixtures against Manchester City
and Chelsea at the start of the season but the Gunners have recovered with two
wins from two since.
And, with the likes
of Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all on international duty,
Emery has called on seven youngsters from the club’s academy to make up the
numbers in training.
Gedion Zelalem, who
suffered a devastating knee injury in March, was training alongside the likes
of Hector Bellerin and Mesut Ozil, while Emile Smith Rowe was also present
following his impressive pre-season form. Charlie Gilmour, Nathan Tormey,
Tolaji Bola, Julio Pleguezuelo and Robbie Burton also participated in the
session at London Colney.
The Gunners take on
Newcastle in the north-east after the international break before starting their
Europa League campaign against FC Vorskla.
