News: Guardiola on press conference react to Champions League draw see what he said
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaks to the press ahead
of the Premier League fixture vs Newcastle.
Manchester City will play Hoffenheim, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Lyon in
the Champions League group stages after yesterday's draw in Monaco.
The group represents a fairly straightforward set of opponents,
but Director of Football Txiki Begiristain has already warned against
complacency as City aim to compete for trophies on four fronts.
In order to do that, they may
look for reinforcements in January, with PSG's Adrian Rabot the latest
midfielder linked with a move.
Rumours around Wolves' Ruben
Neves continue to persist, especially with the impressive start the Portugese
has made to life in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, City will travel to
League One side Oxford United in the Carabao Cup after the third round draw
last night.
Guardiola will be wary of the difficulties City faced against
lower-league opposition last season which saw Wolves and Bristol City run them
close, and Wigan Athletic knock them out of the FA Cup.
