News: Madrid show's interest in Man City Star Sterling
The England international has caught the eye of
the Spanish giants
Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has captured the
interest of Real Madrid, according to reports.
The transfer window remains open across Europe until Friday,
however the Spanish giants are not expected to launch a bid in the short time
remaining.
According to Sky
Sports News, Los Blancos have been keeping a close eye on Sterling’s
form and will continue to do so when England face Spain in the UEFA Nations
League on September 8.
The 23-year-old has less than two years left on his contract and
talks over a new deal have been fruitless.
Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi
have all signed new long-term contracts in recent months.
It is understood Sterling is demanding a wage closer to that of
De Bruyne’s £350,000-a-week. He currently earns around half at £175,000.
The England international scored 23 goals last season as City
eased their way to the Premier League title.
