News: See why Hazard says he will keep tormenting Defenders in any match
Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has cautioned opponents in the English topflight that he will keep coming back for more tackles no matter how hard they hit him.
According to a UK Daily Mail the Belgian was
on the receiving end of career-ending tackles in Sunday's 2-1 win at Newcastle
with Matt Ritchie among the major culprits of the day.
But the Chelsea star
refused to back down and netted the Blues opener from the penalty spot during a
man-of-the-match display at St. James Park.
“The Premier
League is always like this - every weekend is the same,” said Hazard, who was
made his first start of the campaign. “But I'm not complaining, I try to do my
job and when you have the ball, you get kicked, so no complaints.
You just try to
play better. “I felt tired after the game but, at the end, I was happy with the
result and the goal. When you win games you forget that you are tired so now we
have one week to rest and be ready for the next game.”
Presently the
Blues are joint leader at the top of the Premier League log with maximum nine
points after three matches, and Hazard believes the West London outfit are on
the right path to achieve their target for the campaign.
We need to keep
this momentum. We want to be at the top at the end of the season. “This is just
the beginning, but confidence is coming and goals are coming too.
” Meanwhile,
dcirclenews previously had reported that Chelsea star Eden Hazard scored a
penalty goal against Newcastle United to emerge the club’s third best on top
scorers in the English Premier League.
The Belgium
playmaker calmly slotted in from the spot after taking two steps as the Blues
claimed a 2-1 win at St James' Park. The goal also saw Hazard topple club’s
icon Jimmy Floyd Hassel baink goals account during the Premier League era.
